Single gene of 500bp amplified from Lambda DNA
 |
|
Description
2X Redye PCR Master Mix is a unique blend of premixed 2X concentrated solution of Taq DNA polymerase, reaction buffer, MgCl2, dNTPs and inert red dye. This dye enables amplified samples to load directly onto an agarose gel for electrophoresis followed PCR.
The red dye migrates slightly faster than bromophenol blue at about the same rate as a 125 bases pair fragment in a 1% agarose gel. Since no additional loading buffer are added to the reaction following PCR.
Advantage:
Re-amplification is possible.
Can be used for Nested PCR amplifications
No additional loading dye is necessary, easy and can be directly loaded on to agarose gel.

Description
Pfu DNA polymerase is a DNA polymerase of Pyrococcus furiosus , a hyperthermophiic archaebacterium. The enzyme catalyzes the incorporation of nucleotides into duplex DNA in the 5'->3' direction in the presence of magnesium ions at 70ºC-80ºC. Unlike Taq DNA polymerase, Pfu DNA polymerase exhibits 3'->5' exonuclease activity. (proof reading) that enables the polymerase to correct nucleotide incorporation errors.

|
Description
Hot Start PCR is a technique that has been used to improve specificity, sensitivity and yield of DNA amplification during PCR.
Hot Start Taq DNA polymerase is a Taq DNA polymerase which has been chemically modified by the addition of proprietary heat-liable blocking groups to amino acid residues. Due to this modification, Taq DNA polymerase is inactive at room temperature, avoiding extension of non-specifically annealed primers or primer dimers. Hot start Taq DNA Polymerase is instantaneously activated during the initial denaturation step of PCR. It catalyzes 5'__3' synthesis of DNA, has no detectable 3'__5' exonuclease activity, but possesses low 5'__3' exonuclease activity. |
